The Gallup Oilfield is a mature exploration block now entering its development phase. By drilling shallow horizontal wells and helium wells, the project plans phased expansion over three years to establish stable production.

Reservoir Characteristics
Stratum: Mainly Cretaceous Gallup formation, simple nose and anticline structures.
Lithology: Sandstone and argillaceous sandstone.
Properties: Porosity 3.5%–27% (avg. 14.7%),
permeability 0.01–1389 mD (avg. 178.7 mD).
Crude Oil: API 36–42, classified as light crude oil.
Reservoir Depth: 860–1794 ft, thickness 9–30 ft.
Drilling Plan
Strategy:
Horizontal wells in unconventional zones to enhance recovery; precise wellbore placement within pay zones to avoid water coning.
Technology:
Geo-steering drilling, Logging While Drilling (LWD), dual-wire-wrapped screen completion.
